Case Study: Solo-preneur
SalliAnne, PCC
SalliAnne is a life coach who wanted to incorporate giving back into her business and engage her clients at the same time.
For every person she coaches, SalliAnne now donates to a nonprofit of their choice. She has a list of vetted nonprofits to recommend to clients, a system for determining amount to donate, and is better able to connect to what her clients care about.
At the end of the year, we give her an impact report that she sends out to showcases how her community worked together to make a big difference.
Case Studies
Smaller Business: SRM Real Estate
Scott runs a real estate brokerage and wanted to combine his passion for sports with his desire to support underserved youth in his community.
We partnered with a nonprofit that offers character-development programs for students and created a new workshop focused on student-athletes.
Scott and his team were trained to lead these workshops and now offer them to over 100 athletes per year allowing him to make an impact in the city where he works.
Paycom was looking for a way to elevate their employee’s experiences through engaging them in social impact and encouraging their health and wellness.
We created the Burpees for Vets campaign where Paycom donates a dollar to their local veteran nonprofit for every burpee done by their employees in the week leading up to Veterans Day.
The Paycom team completes over 100,000 burpees annually, the event is broadcasted to local news stations, and the thousands of participating employees continually report high satisfaction scores.
Larger Company: Paycom
Hello, I’m Maret, Founder of Curie Impact
In 2020, three different business owners asked me how they could use their company to make a bigger difference in their community.
What started as on-the-side consulting projects turned into Curie, a boutique social impact firm supporting small- to medium-sized companies and early stage startups build impact-focused programs and campaigns.
Through my eight in the social impact space, I’ve built initiatives for companies including Paycom, Spartan Racing, and SRM Real Estate Group and led veteran-service impact activations for companies including Salesforce, Bain & Co. and Microsoft.
I have my master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management and co-founded the For Purpose Foundation, which brings nonprofits, companies, and community organizations together to increase collaboration and enact more effective change.
